Bill Irwin - Vice President/ Sales & Marketing

We entered the marine business in 1919 where my grandfather had this vision to bring boating to New Hampshire. He was an entreprenuer and leader in the community to say the least. He would be proud to see how the business has grown and prospered. After graduating from Saint Anselm College in 1979, I started working full time at Irwin Marine as the rigging coordinator. The friendship and connections with our customers have made my experience in the marine industry a true passion. I am currently on various Boards in the community, father of two great boys, and an avid sports nut. I am personally looking forward in carrying on the tradition that we have at Irwin Marine for years to come. |

I would like to think I have a passion for boats; however, some would characterize it as an obsession. When the day came that I needed to make a living it was an easy decision to follow my heart.
After study at the Crawford Nautical School in Seattle, WA., I earned a USCG Masters license. The following decade included time logged on motor yachts in the Carribbean and Bahamas, assistance towing in Florida, dinner cruise ships and tour boats in the NE, several trips on the Inter-coastal waterway and a 7 month voyage of the "Great Circle" (Florida up the western rivers, across the Great Lakes then back to Florida via the East Coast). A lifestyle change came in time; however, it didn't take me far from the water. In 1998 I joined Irwin Marine, the largest and oldest family owned marina in New Hampshire. Since then I've enjoyed working with customers in an effort to find the perfect boat to fit their needs.
The relationships that are formed at the marina often grow on the Lakes, Bays and Sounds. Please feel free to stop by or give me a call.
Regardless of size or budget, I would value the opportunity to help you and your family realize your boating dreams. |

After retiring from police work, I was looking for the perfect retirement job. Having spent most of my childhood summers in the Lakes Region, it was a natural step to look to Irwin Marine. A place I had visited so many times as a child with my father.
I started at Irwin Marine in 1996 as the Delivery/Demo Captain and soon moved up to Sales/Service Coordinator and then to my current position as Sales Associate. I have enjoyed helping new boaters "see over the horizon", to give them true understanding of the "Sea Ray Lifestyle". Having the best products in the marine industry and working for the most respected name in New Hampshire boating, makes this my perfect retirement job.

Mike Matthewman - Finance Manager
mikematthewman@irwinmarine.com
I grew up on Lake Winnipesaukee and to this day continue to call it my home. Growing up I spent endless summer days on the lake, boating, skiing, swimming, you name it. As a graduate of Plymouth State University I joined a large finance company in New Hampshire and later my career led me to Boston, MA where I continued to work in finance. Like many people that grow up in this area, I couldn't help but return. I joined the Irwin Marine team in early 2008 as a sales representative and am now the finance manager. I have a deep background in finance, acting as a territory manager for a mortgage company while in Boston.
With a strong background in finance, it was an easy decision to make Irwin Marine my home. We are dedicated to customer service and to make sure every boater enjoys their time on the water. Feel free to let me know if you have any finance questions, and I will do my best to help you.
Dave Hoffman - Sales Manager/Hudson Location

Born and raised on a lake in southern New Hampshire, water and boats have always been a part of my life. Following a six year tour in the Navy, I returned to New Hampshire and a career in the power plant industry. My "Midlife Crisis" occurred shortly thereafter! I came to Irwin Marine ten years ago as a customer. As my friendship grew with Irwin's, so did my "midlife crisis". I decided to quit my job and pursue a career in the boating industry. Since being employed, I have filled just about every position Irwin Marine has to offer.
From parts, to service, to sales, I have had my hand in it. My experience in all the facets of boat ownership allows me to provide my customers with the answers to almost all their questions and concerns, and a better understanding of their needs.
Also, a father of four children, an avid boater and fisherman, I am very familiar with the importance of matching my customers to the right boat, at the right budget!

John J. Irwin - Vice President/CFO

I have worked at Irwin Marine since childhood. I started out picking up trash and eventually worked my way into being a yard hand and would tag along "helping" our mechanics.I remember repeatedly being scolded for playing in the boats when I was supposed to be picking up trash or cleaning. I remember my euphoria whenever one of the mechanics had to work on one of the speedboats and needed me to drive the boat while they made adjustments. During high school I worked summers, weekends and afterschool washing boats and doing maintenance.
I attended Syracuse University as an early acceptance, dual major and obtained my BFA in Fine Arts and a BA in education. While there, I was exposed to wheelchair basketball and was founding member of the Syracuse Flyers Wheelchair Basketball team. I have carried the passion for sports for people with disabilities with me to my present day involvement in teaching Alpine Skiing at Gunstock and Loon Mountains. After college, my first professional job was as a Middle School Art Teacher.
In the early 80's the family business again caught my eye and I came to work as the office manager. I am now the Comptroller and VP of Irwin Marine and General Manager of the Alton Bay store location. I have volunteered for many Clubs and was awarded the states Outstanding Volunteer award by Governor Merrill in 1993. I currently serve as a Director for the National Marine Retailers Association, and active member of New England Marine Trades and serve as President of the NH Marine Trades Association. I live in Laconia with my wife and two great teenagers. |

Jack Jones - Sales Associate/Alton Location

After a successful 35 year career in sales, I joined Irwin Marine two and a half years ago. It was because of my respect for the Irwin family, the ability to share my love of and enthusiasm for boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. I purchased my first boat from Jack Irwin in the early 1970's and I've been hooked ever since.
Our Lake offers so many different opportunities for boaters. The uniqueness of five or six ports of call, 265 islands, 75 square miles of cruising and so much more. I take great pride in representing Irwin Marine, Sea Ray boats, Sea Doo, Princecraft and all the products here at our facility. My job is to find our customers' the most direct route to the Lake, while satisfying all of their boating wants and needs. |

Wayne Gautreau - Manager of Alton Location

Growing up with a family that fished the New England coast line for a living made my love of the water: fishing, diving, and boating grow with each passing year. Having boats all my life and being able to play in my back yard on the big lake (Winnipesaukee) for the past 25 years gives me an insight to just what people are looking for when purchasing a boat or watercraft for the family.
I have been working in the boating industry for over ten years and I am proud to be part of the Irwin Marine family for the last three years. I am passionate when I talk boats or watercraft and love sharing my boating stories. Whether this is your first used boat or your next new boat, I am here to make your boating experience fun, exciting and painless, from purchase to that sad time of year (winter storage). I hope to make boating friendships that will last a life time. |

Gail Pellegatto - Sales Administration and Marketing Assistant
gailpellegatto@irwinmarine.com
Having spent my summers vacationing on Lake Winnipesaukee, I knew I would eventually find myself living here. My husband and I moved from Connecticut in January 2007. I wanted a position where I could become a part of the Lakes Region community and was fortunate to be hired on by Irwin Marine. My position, as Bill Irwin's assistant, is extremely diverse. I do some marketing, advertising, sales administration and event planning, as well as meeting and greeting all the customers that come through the front door. I am constantly learning about boats and the boating industry, as well as the boating lifestyle. It's a fun and exciting job and I am thrilled to be a part of it. |
